Hello, my name is Gabrielle Marie, but you can call me Gabie. I'm fourteen years old and I'm turning fifteen on the 24th of October. I enjoy dancing and I am part of the TSMS Exceed Dance Team. I fell in love with the art of dance after trying out for the Exceed Auditions and since then I have always been dancing during my free time as a way to relieve my stress. There's something about being able to express myself through movement that really excites me every time.

 

Because of my fascination with performing on stage, I also became very interested in K-pop, more specifically Stray Kids, and I look up to my favorite K-pop groups as performers. They have amazing talents and stage presence, and thankfully I was able to witness their energy on-stage in real life after attending Stray Kids' Unveil Concert in Manila. I even made a fan account for them along with other groups that I like and I've been using that account as my own safe place where I get to interact with other people from all around the world who have the same interests as me.

 

Most of the time when I tell people I like K-pop I receive all sorts of responses, most of which are just plain rude and xenophobic, and because of these I decided to be secretive about it. After a few months, my fan account has grown in numbers more than I expected and more of my classmates were able to know about it too. Now, I want to challenge myself to be a bit braver, which is why I included my fan account and interest in K-pop in my introduction, also because it has contributed greatly in molding the person I am today. Feel free to think of me however you want to, but please remember that being kind and respectful of others won't hurt.
